Every number looks right. Which ones are?
A premium. A net pay. A tax due. VeriQuant computes each one independently from your approved rates, tables and rules, and grades what your system produced against it, on every case, to the cent. When the two part ways, it names the step.
The problem
A mis-keyed factor. A deviation that stopped applying. A wage base from last year. A bracket that moved in October. Your system still returns a plausible figure, so the error surfaces late: as leakage nobody measured, a refund with interest, a corrected W-2 run, an amended return. Spreadsheet macros and a few dozen hand-picked scenarios only catch the cases someone thought of.
Insurance · from the public record
$4M+
refunded by one carrier, with interest, on fewer than 400 policies, after it found its own rating error.
Most of those policyholders had already left.
State insurance department consent order, 2026. The carrier is not named here.
What VeriQuant does
Every case is a match, or a mismatch that names the first step where the two calculations part ways. Anything unexplained stays open. Never counted as passed.
In force
Does the system apply the rules in force for the right effective date?
Rows
After a change, did only the intended rows move?
Already run
What has already gone wrong on the cases you have already processed?
Platform
When you move platforms, does the number hold?
Three industries
The same check on a premium, a net pay and a tax due. Each case below is a mismatch, and each names the first step where the system and VeriQuant part ways.
Insurance
Commercial General Liability · TX
A rate revision, a bureau update, a new state, a platform move. Every rate action checked before it goes live, and written business re-rated to show what already leaked.
Insurance rating validation →Payroll
Semi-monthly · CA · YTD 180,000
The January table load, twice-yearly platform releases, go-lives on Workday or SuccessFactors. Every employee and pay period graded, with the parallel-run spreadsheet retired.
Payroll calculation testing →Tax
Form 1040 · single · wages 92,000
The annual tables, a mid-year act, the IRS and state test decks. Every return and every transaction graded against the schedules your content team approved.
Tax calculation testing →Another industry with calculations this complex? Pricing, commissions, benefits, lending. We build the rulebook during your evaluation.

For your role in insurance
VP of Pricing
Every rate action checked before it goes live, and the policies already written re-rated to show what already leaked, with the row and the step.
For pricing →Head of QA
A case for every changed row, with its expected premium. Your team runs the comparison in your own QA, exactly as you test today.
For QA →CIO
Legacy to new platform, state by state, checked against one independent source of truth inside your network.
For the CIO →Proof
A large commercial carrier wrote it into its own acceptance criteria: the simulator’s premium must equal the policy system’s premium, on every case, to the cent. It is the bar we are measured against today, and the same bar applies to a pay period or a return. You can open a public example report built the same way.

The next step
A rate revision. A January table load. A bracket that moved. An edge case nobody trusts. In 45 minutes, a senior member of our team walks whoever owns your rules, your Head of QA and your CIO through how the check is built for that case, and how your team runs the comparison in your own non-production environment, exactly as you test today.
